Fall 2024 promises to be exciting: I will be back soon with good news!On June 15th this site reached 1 million visitors. Thanks for your visit and support in reaching 1.000.000!*** The December activities with the ARTBOXY team are up and running! This festive month I am showing virtually at the Andakulova Gallery in Dubai, the Casa del Arte in Palma de Mallorca and the art manifestati0n in Miami - Wynwood, Miami, FL. As September progressed my solo show "Peintures et Dessins" at the Galerie du Pressoir in Ecublens (near Lausanne, Switzerland) took place. I thank those who attended the vernissage for their warm presence and so many of you who came by during the rest of the event all the time! July-August 2023 welcomed the request for the design of the front and back cover (see Appearences) of a collection of poems by Greek poetess Kyriaki Chatziionannidou. The book, Sempre Viva, has been in bookstores since this September (2023) and I would like to thank Elodie Masin, editor/founder of publishing house saisOndespluies, for her supportive cooperation within this beautiful and elegant project. Thanks also go to the following sponsors: the city of Nyon, the Canton of Vaud and the Jan Michalski Foundation, dedicated to writing and literature. Spring 2023 the Still Point Arts Quarterly (USA) published my work once again: two graphite drawings within the theme Minimalist Wisdom. A beautiful edition! In February 2023 ART EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands, displayed several images virtually again. I still think going virtual is a great way to exihibit various pieces at the same time in international shows. Summer 2022 I won three months of international ARTBOXY sponsorship in various galleries of choice. My work has been screen-exhibited at the Lelie Galerij in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, the Urban Side Gallery in Zurich and the Thomson Gallery in Zug in Switzerland, and at the ARTBOXY gallery space at the Venice Biennale, Italy, in June, July and August 2022. Thanks for everyone's kind and professional help. And to my cousin Frank van Dobbenburgh for his energetic support of my work at the Lelie Galerij! In April 2022 my work appeared virtually in ART EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands, an international show in the restored original Philips electronics factory, built in 1922. Spring 2022 The Moscow Pavillion and the local Moscow Apothecary Garden invited the work of the Dutch association of Botanical Artists (VBKN) to their botanical gardens. Being in touch with our colleagues there was a moving experience. We sincerely hope that our work provided their audiences with some peace in these disturbing times.
Fall 2021 The Grimm Foundation in California was interested in a few images of mine for their Edible Schoolyard Project. It teaches very young children to cultivate a small garden, bring it to fruition and enjoy the crop with their loved ones during a family meal. Thanks to Raj Cheshire.
