Coming to Life (Hippeastrum sp.)

Purposefully I drew this Hippeastrum bulb with the roots on the right side darker, in the shade, symbolizing its dormant (winter) state, while the ones that are coming out into the light on the left symbolize a new season in the sun.
The piece has a mat that matches the earth tones particularly well.
